This summer, our calendar has been brimming with exciting activities that have brought smiles and unforgettable memories to everyone involved. From simple trips to the favorite pet store, to going on a cruise over the Atlantic, we've done it all!
Gone Fishing
Nothing beats the tranquility and excitement of a fishing trip. On days like this one, our friend decided that he wanted to go fishing. This is a common moment that gives caregivers a chance to reduce demands, and build bonds. Our individuals have enjoyed several peaceful mornings by the water, casting their lines and hoping for a big catch.
4H Fair: Individuals with disability Day
The 4H fair was one of many highlights of the season. Our friends were invited to a calm, yet energetic fairground, filled with the sites and sounds of amusement. Our individuals felt safe enough to enjoy rides, play games, and of course visit the animals.
Animal therapy is one of the many ways caregivers are able to connect with the individuals we serve. The 4H Fair provided and array of animals to feed and touch.
Juneteenth Celebrations
This year, we proudly participated in Juneteenth celebrations, honoring the significance of this historic day. It was a day full of music, laughter, games, and food fostering a sense of unity and joy. It was a meaningful experience for everyone as we reflected on the importance of freedom and equality.
Music, games, and food always brings people together. Karaoke and Jenga were the highlights of the evening at our Juneteenth Celebration. Everyone really enjoyed each others company and this event was a hit!
Water Days
On one of the most hottest days of the summer, we found the perfect way to beat the heat and have a blast - kiddie pool party! Spending the day outside, splashing around in the cool water, was a refreshing escape and a fantastic way to enjoy summer with our friends.
Pizza at the Park
When you combined the love of pizza and joy of being outdoors at the park the outcome is all smiles. The trees provided perfect shade as the ladies enjoyed their lunch and good conversation with their caregivers. Days like this are common and necessary. The environment can play a huge part in a individuals daily routine. Sometimes a day in the park is just needed.
The simplest activities can bring the most joy. Here at Progressive Lifestyles Inc, we try and support our individuals in experiencing the best out of life.
