Message from the Executive Director: Coronavirus Update

During this challenging time, we are committed to putting the health and safety of your loved one as our most important priority.  To support that essential goal, we are complying with recommendations from public health authorities as well as Executive Orders from Governor Whitmer and putting the following precautions in place:

- We will not be allowing any non-guardian visitors into the home unless absolutely necessary.  Also, we are asking that guardians please limit their visits to the home as much as possible. If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, please do not visit until you have been cleared by a doctor. We will work with you to set up video or telephone calls to help you stay in touch.

- All day programs have been closed temporarily and we have been advised to limit community outings to only those that are strictly necessary.  According to public health authorities, the safest thing to do is for all vulnerable individuals to stay at home as much as possible.

Providing structure is one of the key strategies that Progressive Lifestyles utilizes to help the individuals that we serve to feel safe and loved in our care.  During this challenging time, it will be even more important to keep our friends engaged in activities that promote positive interactions. We will be working with our excellent management team to make sure that each home has appropriate activities planned.  If you would like to help, please feel free to send a care package for your loved one's home including activities, games, or maybe even a few treats.

Please reach out to the manager at your home or our administrative office at (248) 666-1388 to speak with a director if you have any questions or concerns.

We know that this is an anxious time for all so please rest assured that we are taking every precaution to keep your loved one happy and healthy.

Thanks!

Jennifer Bohne
